SFP Sub-Block
The SFP Sub-block is a hardware interface that enables firmware to exchange control-related information with the microcontroller for the SFP modules used by the FPGA for communication.
In accordance with standard practice, SFP control is assigned to the microcontroller, which manages SFP state. Accordingly, these registers provide firmware-specific configuration information so that the microcontroller can configure and operate the SFPs as required by the firmware.
The status register for this sub-block provides information on the expected SFP behavior, including whether the SFP should be powered, whether Rate Select should be asserted, and which protocols are assigned to each RX and TX fiber. This information is also useful for displaying configuration metadata.

Signals:
- SFP enable [0,0] Flag indicating if this SFP is to be enabled, meaning that the microcontroller should consider this as an active SFP and enable its power
Default value : 0
- Values :
0000 : SFP disabled
0001 : SFP enabled
- SFP Rate Select [1,1] Flag indicating if this SFP must have its Rate Select line asserted by the microcontroller
Default value : 0
- Values :
0000 : Rate Select deasserted
0001 : Rate Select asserted
- SFP TX line protocol [2,7] Identifier for the protocol used at the SFP TX line, useful to display information regarding the SFP state on the board.

0000 : No protocol
0001 : HotRIO protocol
0002 : Ethernet protocol
0003 : Custom protocol
- SFP RX line protocol [8,13] Identifier for the protocol used at the SFP RX line, useful to display information regarding the SFP state on the board.
Default value : 0
- Values :
0000 : No protocol
0001 : HotRIO protocol
0002 : Ethernet protocol
0003 : Custom protocol
